There are 2 exploits going around atm in TF2, and it appears one of them is underway on the TF2 server.

This certain exploit will fill your server with bots (saw the server fill in the space of 2 mins) and stress it untill it falls over / crashes. At presant the server ping for me has gone from 120ms to over 350ms, so i dont think the server will be up for much longer, and when it restarts just pray the ****hole does not come back and start the exploit again...


There is a plugin, and ill mail Gman the link/info as it is best not said in the open as it were.

There is also a spat of 'nuking' going on towards Valve servers as there is a hole in the rcon protocol, so the TCP on port 20175 is being flooded and eventually the server crashes.

I forgot to say that the 'big' update is due tonight and when i opened my mail client to email the Gman, the mail said the update is LIVE, and it appears they fixed ONE of the exploits (the one i think is going on now)...

Fixed reload exploit that allowed plays to fire instantly after switching weapons.
Fixed flamethrower bug where a player flush against a wall couldn't be lit on fire from the front.
Fixed invulnerability overlay not drawing if the invuln player was previously on fire.
Fixed "times used" entry in teleporters maxing out at 32.
Fixed rare client crash on level change during control point capturing.
Minor fix to stat gathering to prevent players using sv_cheats to easily garner achievements.

For mapmakers:
- Mapmakers can now directly place the tf_gamerules entity into their map. Fixes Hammer thinking the inputs to it are broken.
- Mapmakers can now place Engineer buildings directly into a map, with an option for them to be invulnerable.
- Added "AddRedTeamScore" and "AddBlueTeamScore" inputs to tf_gamerules.
- Added "SetRequiredObserverTarget" input to tf_gamerules. Force spectators to use the specified viewpoint.

Granary:
- Added setup time logic, and gates to the middle.
- Fixed an overlay alignment bug on one of blue's gate signs.
- Minor lighting fixes in red/blue spawns.

2Fort:
- Added medium ammo and health to basement hallways.
- Added small ammo and health to top of spiral.
- Fixed a clip brush exploit outside blue sniper deck.
- Fixed number "2" overlay on front of red base not being assigned to the brush face.

Lucky your server is not Windows Server 2003, as an update was needed to fix the update. The an update was needed to fix the update of the update.

Silly valve, and they still have not given us hyperthreading support !

There was an 'optional' server update tonight that fixes an exploit AND the rcon nuking hack, it is optional though so run hldsupdate tool if you want it.
