It's another Capcom Vs game.
Not sure if it will ever have an official American release, but there it is.

I was not sure at first but I found my sisters old dreamcast and Mavel vs Capcom. I think it could turn out great. :D

Has to be better than Mortal Kombat vs DC. Some how I don't have high hopes for that one...

When I first stumbled across it, I was like, "what's Tatsunoko?", then I looked it up and was like, "oh, it's the people that made all those old cartoons I completely forgot about"... LOL
Apparently they also co-produced Neon Genesis Evangelion and one of Sampo's favorites, Samurai Pizza Cats. eheheh

I was baiting Sampo with the pizza cats reference, thinking he once mentioned some distain for that show, but maybe I've mixed him up for someone else.

I got the reference but the rest of the post made no sense to me so I passed. I liked Pizza Cats actually. I thought it was stoopid but that doesn't mean I didn't like it 8)

So, just to show what an anime n00b I am, I finally watched 'Ghost in the Shell' last week for the first time. I really enjoyed it although my wife didn't (she doesn't like the anime style and can't get past that). It was good cyberpunk and that works for me. It also burned the image of that execrable 'Steam Boy' out of my head and I'm capable of not hating anime now. :D

I can never get over how the weirdest anime are the ones that are the most main stream. Why not the more sitcom like series? I think a lot of people would get anime if they could see what they could relate to first. Of course I like anime of all kinds. Not just ones with catgirls!

I find it interesting that you say you like anime of all kinds. What, in your mind, defines something as anime? Is it the style?

I've seen some pretty horrible anime and some really good. My opinion is based on substance more than form. Cowboy Bebop was engaging and had a good sci-fi meets lo-fi vibe. Ghost in the Shell was similar. I really liked those. The Sailor Moon, Pizza Cats, Dragon Ball stuff just annoys the crap out of me. :D

That is a great question. For me it is a range of art styles. Some will say it has to come from Japan. Some say anime is just Japanese for animation and has no really meaning outside of that. Sadly I can't say I found many titles I really hate. At most I just finds some to be meh.

That's interesting. Although I don't know much about it, like you, when I hear the term "anime" it conjures up an image of a specific range of artistic styles. Saying anime has to be Japanese is a little pendantic but I can see the point. I've seen a fair amount of american animation that emulates anime or is cleary influenced by anime. Is it anime? I'm sure there are some purists who would say no.

So I won't say that I don't like anime because there's a lot of anime I like. But I can say that I don't like Sailor Moon (TOO MUCH DAMN GIGGLING!!!) :)

I guess I can also safely say I'm not into anatomically dubious cat girls, but hey whatever twiddles your biscuit
